Jesus’s final words on the cross were, in John 19:30, “tetelestai” or "it is finished" - in Greek it is an accounting term meaning, “paid in full.” Your past, present, and future sins have been forgiven. In the midst of the storms that may come in life, we can stand firm in knowing that the Creator of the universe, loves us and wants to be with us for eternity, but ultimately that decision is ours. We were created out of love and love is the freedom to choose, not a dictatorship.
